FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is a hotfix rhinestone picker?

A hotfix rhinestone picker is a handheld applicator that helps you pick up, heat, and precisely place individual hotfix rhinestones. The BeJeweler® Pro uses interchangeable applicator tips so you can work with different rhinestone sizes.

Does the BeJeweler Pro pick up the rhinestone?

Yes. A correctly sized concave tip picks up the rhinestone from its crystal side and holds it while the heat activates the adhesive backing. The same tool then lets you position the heated stone directly onto your material.

What is the best tool for applying individual hotfix rhinestones?

The BeJeweler Pro is our recommended handheld tool when you want accurate placement of individual hotfix rhinestones. The best application method depends on your project, however. For full designs, larger quantities, or production work, a transfer, iron, or heat press may be more efficient. Compare the options in our hotfix rhinestone application guide.

Is the BeJeweler Pro a U.S. brand?

Yes. BeJeweler Pro is a U.S. brand, and the hotfix applicator tool is manufactured in China.

How do I choose the correct BeJeweler Pro tip?

Match the concave applicator tip to the size of the rhinestone. The crystal should sit securely in the tip without becoming wedged too deeply. Flat tips are available for shapes or sizes that are not suited to a standard concave tip.

Can the BeJeweler Pro apply glue-on rhinestones?

The heated applicator is designed to activate the adhesive already applied to hotfix rhinestones. Glue-on rhinestones do not have this heat-activated backing and should be attached with an appropriate rhinestone adhesive instead.

Why is the rhinestone sticking inside the applicator tip?

The tip may be too small for the rhinestone, causing the stone to become wedged. Confirm that the tip matches the rhinestone size, keep the tool straight during placement, and avoid pressing the crystal too deeply into the tip.
