LUX European Crystal™ is a premium line of European crystals from Rhinestones Unlimited. Our Color Sample Card allows you to see the full spectrum of this crystal with your own eyes—72 colors and effects! For your convenience, 20ss flat back crystals are mounted on a clear acetate sheet. You can then place your project materials under the sheet to see exactly how the colors interact in your design. A size chart is printed on the back side. Colors may not be available in every size.
A Rhinestones Unlimited exclusive, LUX European Crystal™ is a favorite of our customers. This premiere rhinestone is a great cost-saving alternative that does not sacrifice quality, sparkle, and shine. LUX European Crystals which used to come out of the Swarovski factories in Austria, now come from the Preciosa factories in the Czech Republic. These crystals are comparable to the Preciosa Viva12 crystals- Preciosa's more affordable line of crystals. Our long-held partnership with these two crystal innovators has provided us the opportunity to bring you an unmatched crystal selection at this affordable price point with little to no disruption in our supply of these beautiful crystals.
We guarantee no change in quality with the change in manufacturers. However, there may be some slight color changes so we do recommend picking up an updated color sample card!

History of our Manufacturing Partners
The first glass kiln was ignited in 1548 in the picturesque, mountainous region of Northern Bohemia, known today as Crystal Valley. It was here that a new industry emerged over the next several hundred years in the workshops and ateliers scattered across the majestic Jizera mountains. In the heart of it all was, and still is, a small town called Jablonec nad Nisou, where 25 independent glassmakers came together exactly four centuries later in 1948 to establish one supreme crystal manufacturer: Preciosa.
Centuries later, Daniel Swarovski (24 October 1862 – 23 January 1956), a Czech-born glass cutter, jeweler and founder of the Swarovski crystal dynasty patented an electric cutting machine and immigrated to Austria. The Wattens, Tyrol factory location was chosen to take advantage of local hydroelectricity for the energy-intensive grinding processes Swarovski had patented.
In November 2020, Swarovski announced a massive corporate restructuring focused on the protection of their brand usage. The brand name Swarovski, as of November 2021, will only be used for strategic luxury partnerships. Factory workers lost their jobs, regional operations were closed worldwide limiting operations to only five countries (United States, Spain, Italy, U.K., and China), and resellers of their crystal components across the globe were told their access to their beloved products would be almost immediately cut off. During this massive transition, many LUX Austrian Crystal products will be transitioning from production in the Swarovski factories to production by Preciosa. LUX Austrian Crystal is now LUX European Crystal with all of the new crystals arriving in our warehouse being from the Czech Factories. Our goal was to make this transition as seamless as possible for our customers and we are proud that the supply was no affected due to our great partnerships and the help of our friends at Preciosa.
We believe in maintaining our brand’s integrity with close trusted business partnerships, equitable and fair work environments, and manufacturers who protect our beautiful planet and its natural resources. The Preciosa group exceeds our expectations for social responsibility and we are proud to partner with them as our preferred manufacturer of LUX European Crystal™. We believe corporate responsibility goes beyond the protection of natural resources to include the human resources and customers who use these products. Preciosa strives to ensure safety for those who use our products and enforce environmentally safe working conditions that utilize ecologically responsible technologies.
