Three Ways to Bling Out Your Halloween

From velvet decor to a trick-or-treat bucket that's fully covered in crystal.

Halloween doesn't have to mean plastic and glitter glue. This year, we're looking at three projects that prove a little crystal goes a long way, from tabletop decor to the bucket you actually carry door to door.

CREATOR SPOTLIGHT

A Trick-or-Treat Bucket, Fully Covered

Johnette (@addsomespark) turned a whole Halloween table into crystal, so pick whichever DIY you like: a clown mask, a cauldron, a Venus flytrap, or a pile of candy bars. But the star is the trick-or-treat bucket.

She covered the bucket in Sun, a vivid orange, and set Jet, a sharp black, in the triangle eyes, nose, and jagged grin, leaving the molded outlines showing so every feature stays crisp. A classic trick-or-treat bucket is a perfect place to start, because the molded face is already a map: the raised lines show you exactly where the orange stops and the black begins. That black against orange is what makes the face pop. Want a deeper, warmer orange? Swap the Sun for Hyacinth.

Witchy Crystal Nails

Halloween nail art is where you can go as bold as you want, one accent nail, one whole hand, or somewhere in between. This look includes a black and purple crystal detailing design, and a solid pop of shimmer, proof that a mix of shapes and finishes reads more interesting than one color alone.

Our Mixed Packs for nails are built exactly for this kind of design, a single pack gives you multiple shapes and sizes so you're not stuck committing to just one look. For this witchy palette, Jet gives you the black detailing, Neon Violet covers the purple, and a Crystal AB pack adds the rainbow shimmer that catches light across both.

Velvet Corn

Velvet has a way of showing up right when the weather turns. It's heavier than summer's linen and cotton, it holds shadow instead of just reflecting light, and it feels like the season it's made for: harvest, candlelight, the first cold night. Set crystal against that texture and you get contrast that plain fabric can't offer, hard brilliance against soft depth.

This velvet corn leans into warm, earthy jewel tones: gold, amber, and a touch of deep red scattered like kernels catching the light. Velvet pairs naturally with this whole family of fall color: Topaz, Honey, Aurum, and Chocolate all sit in that same warm, earthy register the season calls for.
