What are flatback rhinestones?
Flatback rhinestones are loose crystals used on costumes, clothing, and accessories. The back side carries a foil layer for increased brilliance. Sometimes called glue-on rhinestones, flatbacks can be applied with adhesive or secured to fabric with metal settings.
We carry flatbacks across all six crystal brands, so you can match the sparkle to your budget, from premium competition costumes to large group orders.
What are hotfix rhinestones?
Hotfix rhinestones have heat-sensitive glue preapplied to the back, so they bond to fabric with heat instead of liquid adhesive. They are sometimes called iron-on crystals. We carry hotfix crystals, hotfix metal studs, appliques, and application tools, and we can help with custom hotfix transfers.
What are sew-on rhinestones?
Sew-on rhinestones are loose crystals that can be stitched by hand or machine onto textiles and accessories. They come in one-, two-, and three-hole varieties for decorative work or fine embroidery. Single-hole stones are known as lochrosens.

What glues and adhesives work on rhinestones?
We carry adhesives for every application, in single-part glues and two-part epoxies, plus the small tools that make application easier. Our exclusive pickup tools include Pick Me Up and Pick 'N Stick wax sticks, along with the Crystal Katana, Crystal Tanto, and Crystal KuBaton. We also stock prefilled and empty glue syringes and tweezers.

How do I choose the right color?
Color sample cards let you see and compare real crystals in hand before you commit to a large order. Cards are available for rhinestones, beads, and sequins, so you can match your design concept exactly.

What is the difference between flatback and hotfix rhinestones?
Flatback rhinestones have a plain foiled back and are applied with glue or metal settings. Hotfix rhinestones have heat-activated glue already on the back, so they bond with heat instead of liquid adhesive. Both are available across our crystal brands.
