Rhinestone March Nail Art
Posted by Rhinestones Unlimited on Mar 3rd 2022
March is a month when I am sure ready for fresh color and sparkle galore! Let’s take a look at a few trending nail designs to inspire this month’s manicures.
After being spotted on the 2022 runway, crystals for nails are officially back in style (although, for many of us, we know they never really go out of it).
Crystals for Nails: March Edition
Here’s hoping these trending crystal nail designs and inspirations spice up your month:
Subtle Crystal
As with anything, sometimes, a little goes a long way. For a romantically subtle look, try 1-2 crystals per nail. I especially like this look paired with a French manicure or pastel base coat. Don’t want that much of a commitment? Try crystals on just your ring finger. This classic look is super fun and much easier to accomplish.
A few colors I absolutely adore for more subtle treatments:

Saturated Crystal
For romantic date nights, give your nails the full crystal treatment. Create a show-stopping masterpiece by going for a manicure completely covered with rhinestones for nails. If you’re new to this style, read our piece “How to Make Rhinestones Stay on Your Nails Longer” for our recommendations.
Here are some bolder crystals for nails colors for you fearless ones out there:

You can go bold with these color-saturated options or mix in a few subtler stones to break up the design.
Don’t want to commit to just one color or shape? We sell mixed packs so you can experiment with both of those details and create something unique!
Looking Ahead: Spring Manicures
Believe it or not, March is right around the corner. If you’re already planning your look for next month, here is one of my favorite current trending nail designs:
Gradiently Green Nails
Who says you can’t have it all? In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and the coming springtime, try painting each nail a slightly different shade of green, starting with a light sage at the thumb and ending in more of an evergreen by the pinkie.
Cap it off with light golden rhinestones for nails(I am absolutely obsessed with the Golden Honey color), clear-cut crystals, or double down with our shades of green. The overall effect is eye-catching and unique and sure to bring you a bit of good luck!
Pedicure Nail Art
Why should hands get to have all the fun? As the weather warms up, try adding crystals to your pedicure! Place a couple of crystals to the center of your toe OR for a really fun look, line them up along the base of the nail (sort of like a reverse French Manicure). If you’re in a romantic mood, play with a mixture of reds, pinks, whites, golds.
A Quick Note on Manicure Shapes
While almond, squoval, stiletto, and ballerina are always trending shapes for crystal-studded nails, you can easily deck out short nails, too! It’s all about your personal preference and lifestyle.
How Do I Apply Crystals to Nails?
GEMGEL Adhesive™is a resin adhesive that cures like a gel. A UV/LED is required to cure the GEMGEL Adhesive™. Use it to create higher quality, longer lasting crystal manicures or on any hard surface. Create beautiful crystal cell phone covers, set crystals into a metal jewelry bezel, or use it to add rhinestones an acetate hair barrette. GEMGEL Adhesive™ cures to a tack-free, high gloss clear finish. Acetone will break down and soften the gel once cured.Instructions: Using a gel brush, apply GEMGEL Adhesive™ to the area where crystals are desired. Apply the crystals to the area and press down into the GEMGEL Adhesive™, creating a bed for the crystal. Cure for 60 seconds LED or 2 minutes UV. You can apply more gel around the perimeter of the crystals and cure again for extra security, but it is not required for a strong bond.
