02
Choose Your Hotfix Application Method
The right application method depends on whether you are placing individual rhinestones, applying a complete design, or producing decorated products in larger quantities.
Place Stones Individually
A handheld applicator is suited to detail work, small designs, repairs, and projects where you want direct control over each rhinestone.
Apply a Complete Design
A rhinestone transfer keeps an entire design arranged for positioning and application at one time.
Plan for Production
Commercial equipment supports controlled, repeatable application for manufacturers and professional decorators working at scale.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Which rhinestone brands are available in hotfix?
Rhinestones Unlimited offers hotfix rhinestones from Preciosa® MAXIMA, Swarovski® Elements, Preciosa® VIVA12, Starcut Crystal™, and PriceLess Crystal™.
Does LUX European Crystal come in hotfix?
No. LUX European Crystal is not currently available with a hotfix adhesive backing. Choose one of the five hotfix brands listed above when you need a heat-activated rhinestone.
What is the best hotfix rhinestone brand?
The best brand depends on the brilliance, consistency, brand recognition, quantity, and price your project requires. Premium and value-focused choices are available, so compare the brands based on the appearance and perceived value you want in the finished design.
Do hotfix rhinestones need glue?
Hotfix rhinestones already have heat-activated adhesive on the back, so separate glue is not normally added. The adhesive bonds when the correct combination of heat, pressure, and time is used on a suitable material.
What tool should I use to apply hotfix rhinestones?
Use a handheld hotfix applicator such as the BeJeweler Pro for individual rhinestones and detailed placement. A household iron or heat press can be used for complete rhinestone transfers, while commercial equipment is generally better suited to repeatable production.
Can I make my own hotfix rhinestone transfer?
Yes. You can create a rhinestone template with a compatible cutting machine, arrange the hotfix stones in the template, and lift the completed design with transfer tape. Follow our linked Cricut and Silhouette tutorial for the complete process.
Which hotfix method is best for manufacturing?
Manufacturers typically need an application method that provides consistent heat, pressure, timing, and repeatable placement. The best equipment and settings depend on the rhinestone, transfer, material, and production volume. A consultation can help you evaluate those requirements.
