Orange

Orange is one of the few colors that holds its intensity at a distance, which is why it shows up in cheer, team spirit, western, and character work. A red stone can read brown under warm lighting and a yellow stone can wash out. Orange stays orange.
Our oranges run from red-leaning to yellow-leaning. Hyacinth is the deepest, a rich burnt orange with red in it, and it is the shade most often used for autumn and western designs. Sun sits in the middle as a clear, true orange. Sunflower leans golden and reads closest to yellow. Lava is a warm red-orange, and Padparadscha is the softest of the group, a coral orange-pink that also sits in our peach and coral range.
Neon Orange and Electric Orange are a different kind of stone. Where the others are transparent and depend on light passing through them, the neons are opaque and hold a flat, saturated color that does not dim under a stage wash. Competition cheer and团 spirit work leans on these because the color has to read from the top of the bleachers.
Hyacinth and Sun are also available with AB and shimmer treatments, which add an iridescent shift over the base orange. These are stocked in flatback across MAXIMA Crystals by Preciosa®, LUX European Crystal®, and PriceLess Crystal™.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Hyacinth and Sun rhinestones?
Hyacinth is a deeper burnt orange with red in it. Sun is a brighter, cleaner orange without the red. Hyacinth reads as autumn and works on darker fabric where Sun would look thin. Sun reads as a true orange and holds up better against white and pale fabric. They are the two most-stocked oranges we carry.
Which orange rhinestone is the brightest?
Neon Orange and Electric Orange are the most intense, because they are opaque rather than transparent. An opaque stone carries its own color instead of relying on light passing through it, so it stays saturated under any lighting. Among the transparent oranges, Sun is the brightest.
What orange rhinestone works best for a western or autumn costume?
Hyacinth is the usual choice. Its red undertone reads as rust and copper rather than as a bright orange, which sits better with browns, golds, and denim. Lava works for the same palette and leans further toward red. Pair either with gold or brown stones.
Is Sunflower orange or yellow?
Sunflower sits on the line. It is a golden orange that reads yellow next to Hyacinth and orange next to a true yellow stone. If your design needs one warm accent that could go either direction, Sunflower is the shade that does both.
How do I choose between orange shades?
Order a rhinestone color chart and hold the shades against your fabric under the lighting the piece will be seen in. Orange shifts more than almost any other color between daylight, gel lighting, and LED, so a shade that looks right on screen can read brown or yellow on stage.
